Mordor...
the Land of Shadow.com
was nominated in the 'Best Specialized Site'
category in Yahoo Magazine and
was featured and voted one of the ten best Tolkien sites.
it was described at the 'creepiest' Lord of the
Rings website on their web pages! We are honored!
Here is their review...
Theres
one in every crowd, and heres a fannish contrarian
celebrating, yes, Middle-Earths bad guys. A little
bit Goth, a little bit Tenacious D,
this site invites exploration of all thats evil
in the books. The mix of LOTR quotes and art from various
sources (including Tolkiens own stylings, not
too bad) is well-chosen, and the sites carnage-and-darkness
motif is a welcome change of pace after one too many
ethereal fan tributes. We especially liked the Dark
Servants roster of LOTR baddies, tidily sorted for newbies
having a hard time telling their flying Nazgul from
their Balrog.
